Peter Kornel Kovacs and Marisa Noelle Panos,

Peter Kornel Kovacs, a native of Hungary, started with gymnastics and martial arts at the age of 5. In his teen years, he began ballroom dancing quickly rising to open gold amateur status.  By the time Peter was 17, he won several IDSF organized Latin and Standard competitions. He competed in Latin dance for 7 years in the open gold division. Peter holds a B.A. in Pedagogy and in Mathematics from Ferenc Kolcsey Presbyterian Pedagogical Institute in Debrecen, Hungary. He has performed in Hungary, Austria, Germany, Romania and the United States.

Marisa Noelle Panos,  Mr. Kovacs dance partner, is from Newton,  Ma where  she began her dance training with the Boston Ballet School.  She performed for 10 years in Boston’s holiday dance classic the Nutcracker,  held at the Wang Center.  Ms. Panos has performed  numerous other Ballets with Boston Ballet, Boston Dance Company, Ballet Theatre of Boston and  Milwaukee Ballet, a graduate of Butler University and is the Performing Arts Dance Professor at Emmanuel College.  As an amateur Latin competitor, she  rose quickly to capture 2^nd place in Open Gold, at Ohio Star Ball and by placing first in silver and gold divisions across the United States.  She has performed in Taiwan, France, Germany, Canada, Hungary and the

United States. 

Peter and Marisa have been dancing together for four years and have enjoyed rising to new heights as Finalist in major competitions all over the United States and abroad. 3rd in Massachusetts Rising Star International Latin Commonwealth Classic Competition, Professional Latin Dancing finalist at Dancing A La Carte and Finalist at the Rising Star Yankee Competition in Cambridge Ma, Semi-Finalist in the Constitution Challenge, New Jersey State Open, Eastern United Dancesport Championship and the United States National Event Ohio Star Ball televised on PBS.  Peter & Marisa are also happy to be the ballroom dance teachers for the  Boston Ballet School, children summer work shop program in all four locations.

Peter and Marisa were honored to celebrate raising money for the Newton Community Service Center as they honored Newton Mayor Cohen as he danced with Marisa in a Dancing with the Stars evening event.

Peter and Marisa teach a wide range of students from Children to Adult, Social to Advanced Ballroom dancers, Wedding Couples and highly Competitive Competition students. Their competitive students rank first at all major competitions including Ohio Star Ball, Holiday Dance Classic, Eastern Dancesport Championship, Commonwealth Classic, Yankee Classic and Dancing a La Carte Competition. They have coached several collegiate Ballroom Dance Teams such as Harvard, Brandeis, MIT, and Northeastern. Mr. Kovacs Latin and Rhythm Group Classes and Ms. Panos' Ballroom / Latin and Salsa Group classes are very popular with all students in the Ballroom Dance community.
